More Coming SOON!!!
We will take a deep dive into the Past, Present and Future of Legacy Project! Stay tuned to learn more about these incredible youth and how you can support this wonderful initiative!
Welcome to Your Legacy Project!
Created in Alamosa, CO in 2022, by the Rural Colorado GripTape Alumni Community and Program Specialist, HEM; The Legacy Project is an innovative program that provides opportunities for young people from primarily Rural populations to create proactive, pragmatic, and new resources within their communities. These Legends work with their peers and their greater communities to address social, environmental and even geographical needs, wants and dreams.
HANi24/7, (our Newest Home) and Legacy Project believe that people, ages 17-24, are some of the most effective catalysts to addressing and providing the needs and resources within their local communities. We also believe that by giving young people the liberty to address such issues through shared interests and passions, they are able to build effective programs in a short time period which yield long lasting results.
How do we know this? Why are we so confident? Your Legacy Project is designed for and by the young people who participated in its early prototypes AND for whom it serves. In just two, short 5-7 week cycles, approximately 15 Legends reported positively impacting 100+ youth and at least 50+ community members! The ways in which our Legends addressed their communities' “needs” and the ways in which they expressed their creativity were all so distinctive and made impacts on many different populations.
*****Legacy Projects Created thus far include but are not limited to:
An after school program for underserved youth which helped to develop their potential to begin careers in the medical field as early as age 16
Athletic Sponsorships from elementary to high school that provided youth with the gear and support they needed in order to participate fully, to include their families, and to compete!
Introducing peers to new outlets for living holistic, both mentally and physically healthy lifestyles
A Brand New Car Show Event that brought participants from all across the state of Colorado; all proceeds went directly to sponsor local families at Christmas time.
*****These are just a few of the many wonderful projects that our Legends have created!*****

How can yoU help??
Your Legacy Project has been shelved thus far since 2023 due to a shift in Program Location and a lack of funding. This is where your generous support can get youth back to what they do best: affect positive change in their communities. Each Legend was given $400 to spend on their project. It's incredible what they are able to do with this conservative amount of money. So, we ask that you would consider supporting our initiative. For more information about making a monetary contribution, please visit our FUNDRAZR campaign by clicking the link below.
>>>> YOUR LEGACY PROJECT FUNDING <<<<<
WE THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION, YOUR TIME, AND YOUR ATTENTION. PLEASE PUSH PEACE** :)
CURRENT GOALS FOR 2023:
Raise at least $4,000 via this Fundrazr Campaign to support at least 10 Legends (half by start of school year Aug.2025)
Finish the process of establishing our Non-Profit structure and Filing for non-profit 501c3 status by June 2025
Create a revenue stream that matches donations 1:1 via donors, consumers and investors of HANi.wORLD, and partners such as BLcX.life
As the above goals become accomplished, we will qualify for more federal, state and private grants. While in-waiting, we are researching potential grants/requirements so that we may be ready to apply ASAP
**** if you wish to make a more direct impact on our current 2025 goals and/OR you just wanna know more about “where we are & what we want” please reach out to us via email: wearehani247@gmail.com
Longer-Term Goals for Your Legacy Project:
Collaborate with past Legends and GripTape Alumni to help operate Legacy Project. We want YLP to be 90% operated by its users and other youth by the end of 2027.
Expand the program to other parts of Rural America such as South Carolina, Florida, and Montana. Test, iterate, learn, build, repeat. Ultimately take Your Legacy Project to Poland, Peru, Estonia, Italy and other countries. (2-4 year goal)
Continue to collaborate with HANi24/7 and other partners such as BLcX.life to grow the annual budget through community events and fundraisers. With more $upport, we can have more Legends and more positive impact :) Thank you.
2024 FEATURED LEGEND
Luis of Center, CO presents: Los Fantasmas Car Show Tailgate
How would you answer the question:
What is Your Legacy Project?
Luis: “Your Legacy Project is a chance to show yourself and others what you can accomplish, and have a chance to impact others.”
FYI: Legacy Project has 3 fundamental programmatic elements
5-7 week TimeFrame to impact at least 5 members of your community aged 20 and below (most projects went beyond this requirement)
Up to $400 Micro-Grant to help accomplish Project Goals
Project Advocate who acts as an accountability and thought partner (as needed)
Now! The Legends do the defining* and the designing*
** Legends participate in surveys/interviews before, during, and after their Projects are completed **
How do/did you define positive impact?
Luis: I define positive impact as how many people attended, how many got inspired by the event, and who enjoyed the event.
How do/did you determine if your project made a positive impact?
Luis: Survey, money amount, and photos.
How many participants did you positively impact with your Car Show?
Luis: 10 adults did His(my) survey, 100% who attended enjoyed, 2 did the survey but couldn't attend. His(my) Crew has 5 youth ages 20 below positively impacted, 23 families for Christmas sponsor; 30-50 attended > That is at a minimum 100 persons positively impact by Luis’ Legacy Project!
What is your next goal(s) in the pursuit of Your Legacy Project topic?
Luis: To continue it and expand it, I want to create recurring events in my community and charities.
The most important thing I’ve learned about my community is:
Luis: When you need help or support most of them will be there.
The most important thing I’ve learned about myself is:
Luis: That I can achieve anything I put my mind to.
Is there anything else that you want to share about Your Legacy Project Experience?
Luis: It went better than what I expected.
Notes from Luis’ Project Advocate:
Luis did a Car show within the month of December, located in the incredibly small town of Center, CO. I was so excited to get to attend this event. At least 20+ cars were entered into the Contest, the attendance was approx. 30-50 community members, and the weather was AOK (cold, but not snowing). I had a chance to speak with local attendees and I learned that for some of them, even with decades in the “Car Show Scene,” they had never even heard of a Car Show being held as late as December, much less in Center, CO. It was a treat for them to get to show their cars one more time before parking them in the garage for winter.
Luis plans to do another Car Show Event in the Spring and to ultimately make it Bi-Annual going forward. With good fortune and more of the same support, I believe this dream will become a reality. On another note, Luis designed his Event to impact his crew of 5 persons under the age of 20 AND his greater community. More specifically, he utilized ALL of the proceeds from his event to sponsor 23 local families and their children for Christmas. He, like most of our Legends, went above and beyond the simple Legacy Project Parameters and his Legacy Project casted a wide and deep impact on many members of his community.
On a personal note, Luis reported being deeply impacted as well. He got to realize a dream that was killed by Covid 2 years ago AND he got to see a car that he’s always wanted to see! The car below (white one) is a car that is usually squished into a metal ball OR locked away hiding in a garage. Apparently it *used to be* “illegal to own in the USA.” Well, this father/son spent over a decade renovating and hiding this beauty. When the dad got the “facebook notice” about Luis’ Car Show, he was stoked to travel over 250+ miles from Denver, CO to Center, CO and display their pride and joy. Again, in the Post Project Interview, Luis exclaimed what pride and joy this brought to his life as a mechanic, a car enthusiast and even as an Event Creator.
All that is really left for me to say is ... everyone involved, including myself, in this event was highly impacted in a positive way and there is a lot of reason to hope and believe that this Car Show; this Charity; this Community Party will continue!
